To My Work Best Friend

Work Best Friend,

First, I want to thank you for making my nervous self become so comfortable at my new job. This was a year ago, but I'll never forget it. I always looked forward to working with you even when we didn't really know each other. You would always make conversation with me and made me laugh every time you opened your mouth. I even got to enjoy your singing abilities, even if you complained that it wasn't Beyoncé playing.

You're a beautiful person inside and out. I like to think there is a reason for everything and I don't know what the reason I got to have you in my life is, but thank God for it. I hate going to work knowing it's not you at the register next to me, especially if it's you know who. I hate that I had to transfer 1,000 miles away from you for 3 months. I will ever make another work friend, like you. You're one in a million.

I'm even more thankful that this work friendship has bloomed into an actual friendship. I never anticipated finding one of my best friends at a retail job. I figured, I would make work friends and it would stay at work. Lucky for me, I get to see you outside of work ALLL the time. I think people get sick of us together, tbh. But, that's okay because I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll even consider moving to Denver for you, just so our future children can be bffs like we are.

I can't thank you enough for your friendship in and outside of work. Honestly, if people didn't know us they would probably think we were dating (hahaha). Thank you for always understanding me and letting me express my distaste for Beyoncé and loving me anyway. You're one of the greatest humans I know and you're incredibly nice to everyone (something I'll never be able to do so we even out). Thank you for spending all of your free time with me (literally) and finally letting me see your BEAUTIFUL house (can't wait to move in).

You've made #LifeAtKohls the best life. Most importantly, thanks for becoming my work best friend and transforming into a real life best friend. I don't know what I would do without you every weekend. "Thanks buddy."
