Ok, now ladies!!!! "YEAAHHHH"
First and foremost, I am super thankful for all four of y'all in every way possible. Growing up into a young adult wouldn't have been possible with out my four sisters and momma! For those of you that don't know I have one biological sister, Chelsea, and our mom, Paula, passed away when we were very young. Lucky for us, we were blessed with two amazing sisters and a sweet Momma aka Gibby.
As I sit here and write this, so many memories come flooding back. All the times y'all made me do insanely stupid things like run around the entire pool completely naked just because you stole my bathing suit. All the endless weddings, family events, random get-togethers, and the drama that we've gotten ourselves into.
When people ask where I learned my crazy from I say: "ha, I was influenced by three wonderful sisters." One of the biggest reasons I am thankful to be the youngest is I had the chance to sit, watch, and learn. I saw the pain, the mistakes made, and the hurt that y'all went through and it was mental notes for me to guard my heart and learn how to get away with things that y'all didn't. Also, I always had some cool story to brag about what I did over holiday breaks or at the weekend road trip to Mom's.
As I have gotten older I have realized that all my sisters bring something different to the table as well as a few very common things. The commonalities are my personal favorite: you all have a house for me to crash at, and we could all talk for hours on end and the laughter never stops. There is so much more I could say, but honestly no one really cares about our weird memories or stories.
Even though we are all very opinionated and have very different outlooks on life, there is one thing we can all agree on, and that is our Momma! She will forever make us cry or tear up whenever she gives a speech or writes a letter (more like a novel). But we wouldn't be together still if it wasn't for her keeping us all together. One of my greatest blessings from y'all is that when we get together, the sisters have always come through and you don't mess with us no matter what!
Mom, Courtney, Anna, and Chelsea, thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching me all of y'all's ways and for never judging too hard when I'm doing something completely abnormal (like trying to twerk on the sidewalk in the middle of the night on a highway). Paula would be forever thankful for the bond that we have and the sisterhood that we have created. And most importantly, Paula would forever thankful for you Mom because we wouldn't of made it this far without you.
Here's to the youngest one finally being 21, and cheers to a new year for all of us! Can't wait to see what it brings to our fam!
