Sister,

I know things are crazy right now. I know that all this planning is driving you crazy. I know you're probably about to lose your marbles, but please relax and take a deep breath. This week will test your stress level in so many ways. But remember, come this weekend, it'll all be worth it.

Weddings are all about perfection. But they should be all about the love. You have spent months planning this day. Let this week should be about jitters. The excitement knowing that you are going to marry your best friend. The unbearable happiness you have about becoming his wife. And the restless thoughts about your future together.

This day should be full of happiness and love. Put your worries about the flowers and the food aside. If somebody has a problem with something, that's good for them. This day is for you and your soon to be husband. This is the day you've dreamed about for years.

We have planned our wedding together time and time again. But we always forgot about the most important thing: the love between the bride and the groom. Nowadays, people seem to think that weddings are supposed to be some extravagant event where you show off how much money you have and the best party you can throw. However, it should just be a time where we all get together and celebrate the joy we have for the both of you.

I am more than happy for you as this day approaches. However, I will admit to a night or two of crying, not because I was upset, but because there are mixed emotions. We will always be sisters and nothing will change that. But, come this weekend, we will no longer share a last name. We will no longer ever live together again. Our priorities will change as you gain a spouse. You deserve it all, though. You deserve the love of this man. You deserve a happily ever after.

In the final days, take a moment and think of the reason behind this crazy busy week. Forget about me, crazy parents, or even a nagging bridesmaid and think of your groom. Know that this day is more than just a party. Without your love and commitment, you would not be approaching this day. This is day is for both you and the groom.

I wish you warm feet as you continue on with marrying the love of your life. I wish you a heart full of adoration and pure eagerness. I wish you sleepless night due to a head full of thoughts of the days to come. I wish you an amazing day as you join as one with your beloved.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
