Hey y'all.
You did it. You pledged to the second oldest sorority in existence. Welcome to the sisterhood that you won't wanna leave in four years. I don't. You will have moments of: "why did I join this sorority?" To "Do I have to go this meeting tonight? I can miss two." Go to everything, do everything. Familiarize yourself with the lodge. Get to know your graduating sisters, the class above you, and prepare for the class coming in after you. I am so proud of the sorority you are coming into. It has been formed and molded for you to make it however you want it to be. I know y'all will do great things. If not...I'll be back and haunt you. I'll be in a Charlotte. If you need to call on anybody who's been in the sorority their whole collegiate years, I'm all ears.
Y'all belong to an amazing pledge class. Just witnessing every single one of you run home on bid day was making me overjoyed. Don't worry, I didn't shed a tear. Not yet. You all will do wonders for this chapter. This is type of pledge class that will make me glad to be an alumna of Phi Mu Gamma Gamma. I know you will make me proud. I know you will make all the graduating seniors proud. But don't worry, we will be back.
To the future President, Treasurer, Vice President of Radiance, Vice President of Committees, Panhellenic Delegate, Recording Secretary, Membership Director, Recruitment Chair, and Philanthropic Director. Welcome to the elite executive board. We aren't nothing special. Just trusted leaders of a sorority, no big deal. Us seniors have been in your shoes and we are here to help.
Ladies, wear those letters proudly. When hand downs come around, raise those hands high, and get our letters. Those suckers are expensive. If the shirt is dirty, unstich the letters and put them on a new one.
Phi Mu is proud to have you and I am already proud to call you my sisters. Get ready for initiation. he cliche quote: Sisters aren't for four years, they are for forever.
In Our Bond,
A fellow senior
