Dear Mom,
Ever since I can remember, you have been my biggest fan. You have sat through every softball game, dance recital, school play, swim meet, tennis match, and graduation I have been a part of. You have pushed me to strive become a better person and help others as much as I can. Throughout my life, I have watched you and every little thing you have done has helped shape me into the woman I am today. The way you interact with people, still blows my mind. You make everyone in the room feel special and appreciated.
You make it seem effortless by the way you genuinely laugh and listen to everyone and their opinions. You work so hard balancing your jobs as both mother and career woman. Never have I meet a woman more driven to give her work 110% than you. You wake up at the crack of dawn to check over last minute papers I send you or getting my brother to school on time. Even though it is 5 p.m., your work still continues and some nights you even bring it home with you to make sure it's your best work. Some nights you feel like you haven’t been the best mom, but I am here to tell you that is completely and utterly false. You are everything I could have ever hoped for in a mother.
You make me laugh, comfort me when I doubt myself, pick up the pieces to my broken heart, you spend time with me, you love animals, you teach me how to be kind towards everyone, and most of all your love is unconditional. You have driven hours just to see me for a little bit to make sure I was okay and to make me feel less alone on my bad days. I can not tell you how much our time together means to me and I miss you dearly when I am away at school. Your care packages, goodnight texts, and handwritten letters make my heart happy and always make me feel special. There are days I wonder how I got so lucky to be able to call you my mom. How did I get such a successful, funny and loving person like her to be my mom?
My hope is when I am older and wiser than I am now, I end up just like you. I hope to have a husband who loves me as much as Dad loves you. I hope I make people smile and feel loved after talking to them the way you do, because you have taught me how to be a strong independent woman with goals and aspirations. So thank you mom for never making me feel alone and for teaching me so many things. My life has been forever changed because of your presence. Keep being an awesome mom and awesome person. As your first born child, I feel like I need to tell you you have done a pretty amazing job raising me and my brother (not to brag) and building a career for yourself. I hope you know that you are kind, you are smart, and you are important but most of all know I love you so much (infinity +1 google).
Love,
Your Daughter
