"My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn't do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to be. She filled our house with love and fun and books and music, unflagging in her efforts to give me role models from Jane Austen to Eudora Welty to Patti Smith. As she guided me through these incredible eighteen years, I don't know if she ever realized that the person I most wanted to be was her."
No gift could ever show you how much you truly mean to me, so I am giving you my words instead.. Happy Mothers Day Momma
You deserve the world and more everyday of the year not just this one in particular. You are the greatest woman this earth and I will ever know. (I may be a bit biased but I just can't help it.) You are so extraordinary and so loved, especially by me.
I have saw the world try to get you down so many times but you never let it, you turn your music up and dance away the negativity. You have carried the weight of the world on your shoulders and still yet go about your day as if you have the world in your hands. You have a way of seeing the world like no other, you find the good in everything, my optimist. You not only manage to carry your own weight but mine and my siblings as well. Every time something has brought me down, you dropped whatever you were doing and picked me up and continued to carry me until I was strong again. You are my strength, the wind beneath my wings. You taught me the important things in life and always taught me that the world owes me nothing and that I am in charge of my happiness. This lesson will change the way I live forever. You taught me how to be strong, independent, and confident yet humble. You make me feel like there is not one thing I can not do in this world as long as I work for it. I am so grateful to have a mother that is constantly boosting my confidence.
Not only are you my mother but you are my very best friend and for that I will always be so thankful. You are the Lorelai to my Rory (nothing represents us more.) I know I will never have to go through anything alone because I will always have you, my mother, my number one supporter, my best friend. I could not thank you for everything you do for me. You let me be exactly who I want to be without passing any judgment, you think I am perfect and I think the same of you. You have been my world since before I can remember and nothing will ever change that. You have taught me to never sit out but to always dance, to take all the chances I get and to make everyday an adventure. My life will always be filled with so much joy because of you. Thank you so much for all you do for me, the lessons I will carry through life, the constant love, working to give me everything I want and need, sitting by my bed for countless nights in the hospital and not leaving once, all the laughs and dance off, for making the good days great and being there to hold me through the lows. You are the most selfless person I know, you really are an angel.
I want you to know you are the best mom I could ever ask for, I would be lost without you. I love watching you dance your way through life, I am honored to be the one dancing right by your side. You are the light of my life. You are magical Momma, I love you more than you will ever know. Happy Mothers Day!
