To My Mom On Mother's Day

Just know I'm glad you're my mom everyday. Not just today.

To My Mom On Mother's Day
McKayla DeBord

Mom,

Thank you.

Thank you for literally everything. You make my whole life easier. Without you I would be a mess. I would be lost. I would be a wreck.

Everything you've done for me has shaped me into the person I am today. You have made me strong, brave, radiant, accepting, loving, and most of all, you have made me, me. I could not have asked for a better mom to have raised me. Even when we argued, I always knew that you were just looking out for me and always had my best interests at heart. I am grateful to have had you looking out for me as I grew up and continue to do so.

Thank you for wiping my tears after my heart was broken. Thank you for telling me my outfit wasn't that cute. Thank you for telling me that person wasn't worth my time. Thank you for making me the best home cooked meals. Thank you for always coming to my events. Thank you for always looking out for me.

I know this day is dedicated to celebrating mother's, but I want you to know I celebrate you every day. I celebrate the fact that I get to have the best mom in the world. I am grateful every day to have known you.

I love you so much, Mom.

-- Your grateful child.

And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
