Manmie,
I don't even know where to start because saying I am proud of you would be an understatement. I have seen you overcoming so much and now I am asking where do you find your strength?
After I was born, you decided to continue with your schooling and for that (chapo ba). Then, you came to the U.S, you were sick, there were all types of difficulties but you decided to go to school because you believed in education.
Not only did you become a chef (she was already one in Haiti), but you went back and studied nutrition and dietary because that's your passion (back to back graduation). I love how you are taking care of your body and teaching us more about nutrition and telling us this was from classes you were in. I love to see your class projects. Readers look at some of her work
As your daughter, I feel so overjoyed to see you accomplishing all these things while you have a family and so many other responsibilities. You have worked tirelessly to be where you are today. If I never told you this before, I realized that I look up to you more than I imagined.
You are the one who makes me believe in education like I do. When someone has a mother who no matter what happen in life still find the way to go school, how can you not go to school yourself. Mommy, seeing you accomplishing all you do is one of the things that keeps me going. I am always like, if you can have two jobs, a family, BILLS and still go to school and do well then what's my excuse.
So, readers yes I have a "chef mom." You know what I love the most about when she was going to school? The projects, because I would be doing the tasting even if I didn't know what I was tasting for. I was always like it tastes good.
Manmie, YOU DID IT!!!!!!!
Once again CONGRATUALTIONS. We are all very proud of you!!!
Here are a few more pictures....
Xoxo,
