Dear Beautiful,

Today, you walk down the aisle towards your number one best friend, and man you will spend the rest of your life with. I can’t believe this day is actually here. It feels like just yesterday we were back in high school dreaming of our wedding days and planning them out. Can we really be old enough to begin our actual adult lives? Reality says yes we are, and today is one of the biggest, happiest days of your life! I am so incredibly happy for you and I hope today is everything that you dreamed it would be. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of sharing this wonderful day with you! I want to share with you how wonderful your friendship has been to me over the years.

You and I have been friends for a very long time, I can’t even remember how our friendship came to be, but I am so grateful that it had. Throughout our younger years, I know I couldn’t have made it through without you. High school was quite the ride, but having you at my side always made it alright. I am so blessed to have had a friend like you during those times. Growing up with you is one of the best memories I have of my time spent back in that small town. When it came to our college years I was often sad that we didn’t get to see each often and we started to grow apart and have our own separate lives. I missed you a lot. What I realized over time though was that even though we were apart and we didn’t talk for months, when we finally did get together, it was as if none of that space existed. The time we spent apart didn’t change our friendship and that means the world to me. Life gets busy and crazy and it gets hard to keep up with one another, but no matter how long it’s been, I know that I always have you as a friend. And the same goes from me to you. No matter where this life takes us, I will always be here, ready to pick up where we left off. I do apologize that I don’t call, write, text, or visit as often as I should. I would never want for our friendship to fade far enough to fizzle out. You mean far too much to me to let that happen. Your friendship is one of a kind, one of the best that I have. I have been so blessed to know you and to do life with you.

You are such a special person, you have a great heart. I love getting to see all that you're doing and where life is taking you. You are going to impact so many people through your work, you’re going to be amazing. You also make for a drop dead gorgeous bride, and you are going to be an amazing wife. He is a very lucky man to have snatched you up and I hope he knows that.

Girl, the rest of your adventure is beginning! It makes me so happy to see you so happy. I knew the first moment you talked to me about him that he was a strong contender to be the one, and every chat after that just confirmed that. I can’t express how happy I am that you have found this happiness. You deserve it all and more. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, bliss, and many memories together as a married couple.

I wanted to write this letter to you on your wedding day to let you know that you will always be one of my greatest friends and I cherish our friendship so, so much. Even if we only catch up every so often, those times fill me up and mean the world to me. No matter where we end up I hope we always stay in touch. You are truly a lifelong friend in my book and you always will be. I am so happy to share this day with you and to see your dreams come true. I hope today was everything you wanted it to be, beautiful bride.

With all my love,

Your friend for life

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
