Dear Best Friend,

Words can not begin to describe how happy I am that you are still in my life. We were brought together way earlier than freshman year of high school, and I wish we would have talked more sooner. I know that things happen for a reason. It was fate for our paths to cross. I just want to thank you for everything you have done for me.

Thank you for listening to me. There were times where I just needed to rant, and you were always on the other side of the phone or being my shoulder to lean on. I don't know who else I could have gone to had you not been there. Sure we both have other friends, but had it not been you there, I am not sure where I would have been, or be today. You are my rock, bestie. Without you, I would be lost.

Thank you for accepting me for me. I know that I can sometimes be overpowering, but you let me know without saying a word that it is OK. I feel like I can be myself around you, joke around, and most importantly not give up. You have taught me these lessons throughout the years. I look up to you for the amazing person you are, and I try my best to show some of your best qualities in myself as well. I sometimes wish I could be just like you.

Thank you for not being afraid to be yourself. This is extremely important for friendship, and I am so grateful that you feel safe enough to be yourself around me. It helps that we have gone through a lot together, like break-ups, but it has not stopped you from being the beautifully unique young woman that you are. Our friendship is still just as strong as it was even though we are apart. You still act the way you always have, and for that I am extremely appreciative.

Thank you for all the amazing memories. From the ones we shared, to the ones we continue to make, we have had some pretty amazing times. If I had to do those moments again, I would change nothing about them. Just having you be there was the best part about those memories. I hope that we can continue to make these memories as we go on with our lives.

Most importantly: thank you so much for continuing to be my friend. Distance can sometimes destroy friends, but I am so glad that for us it was not the case. I know that it can be hard to be apart from someone so long, but I feel that we can make it work. We somehow have the ability to stick close together even though we are miles apart. I love you, and I will always be here for you. Whether it is 1 p.m., or 1 a.m., I want you to know that I am here for you no matter what.

Sincerely,

Your Best Friend

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.
