To My Guy Best friend,

I may have only met you two months ago, but you have already become a huge part of my life. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I had never met you. Talking and being with you has literally become a part of my everyday routine. The days we don't see each other seem to last for years. Don't even get me started about how horrendous fall break was. I never knew how much of an impact you had on me until I had to go practically a week without seeing you. It was as close to Hell as I ever want to be. You should also know I am terrified of how difficult winter break is going to be, but I know we will figure out a way to make it work.

I remember when we first met. I had no clue how important you would become to me. It took me a while to get comfortable around you, but goodness, once I did, I knew we had the potential for a beautiful friendship. We hung out daily after our first encounter. Our walks around campus became what I looked forward to every day after class. It was my motivation to get through the day in a sense. We talked about anything and everything. We told each other our favorite childhood memories as well as our deepest, darkest secrets.

It is amazing to me how you know me better than anyone else after just a few short months. You know my favorite movie, what makes me laugh and what makes me cry. You know all of my bad jokes, yet you still always laugh every time I tell them. (even if it is the twentieth time you've heard them). You know what I'm going to say before I even say it. You even know me better than I know myself.

You should also know that my days are never dull with you. We could be going on adventures to places we've never been or we could just be in your dorm watching classic movies I've never seen before and it is all perfect just the same. Honestly, as long as we are doing something together it is always a fun time to me. Thank you for taking the time to show me all of the things I have never seen due to my uncultured previous experience. It really means a lot to me that you care enough to show them to me.

Most importantly, thank you for being there for me. Thank you for holding me when I cry and for never leaving without giving me a hug. Thank you for always telling me how amazing you think I am and also for always making me feel loved. Thank you for never allowing me to settle for anything less than I deserve in life.Thank you for protecting me from all the bad guys of the world and for always telling me how beautiful I am to you. I could never thank you enough for all you do for me. Thank you for being you, my best friend.

I love you more than I could ever be able to express in words.

-Your best friend

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
