To My Friends While I Have A Boyfriend

I can't thank you enough for being supportive of my relationship.

Not many friends are understanding when their friend gets a significant other. However, I have been blessed with amazing friends who are so supportive of me and my relationship and I couldn't be more grateful.

My four best friends have been there for me during my past relationships, and they are there for me through this one. They understand that they are just as important as my boyfriend is, and never make me feel like I have to pick and choose between him and them. I will always pick up a phone, answer a facetime call or text, and be there for them just as much as I was prior to getting into my relationship. I will always make equal time to see them now that I am in a relationship, just as much as when I was single. Bottom line: you guys will always be my best friends, even if I have a significant other.

Not only are you all there for me and don't treat me differently now that I have a boyfriend, but you all make an equal attempt to get to know him. Whether it be that you have added him on social media, talked to him via text, or even wanted to make plans with me and him, it means the world to me. You all actually want to get to know him for who he is, and not just because he is my boyfriend. You guys always like the pictures we post on social media, even sometimes make cute comments about our relationship, and nothing makes me happier than knowing that I have all of your support. Whenever we do talk, you all make sure to ask me how he is doing, and how my relationship is. Not only do you take an interest in my life, but you all also make sure to acknowledge and care about my boyfriend as well.

However, you still make sure to be my best friends first and foremost. When I first got into this relationship, you were all some of the first to ask a zillion questions about him to find out about him. You also ensured me that no matter what happens, you guys would be there for me. And, the most best-friend thing of all is that you promised to make sure our friendship wouldn't change just because I was in a relationship. And truthfully, that meant the world to me more than you guys know.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
