I honestly don't know where to start other than to say thank you. You are the one who brought me out of my cozy shell, made me go through formal recruitment, and of course helped me make friends outside of the sorority. You are the one person I could talk to about really anything and you would just tell me point blank what I need to do. Thanks, roomie.
Sure, as the year progressed we found our differences and fought over a few things but we made it out alive. To the ghost that occupied our room and would to turn on your printer at the odd times in the morning, I'm thankful to be away from her. I'm thankful for the two o'clock in the morning conversations about literally anything and everything. Especially the night before bid day when we were both freaking out. That conversation was both the funniest and the craziest. We've shared memories, pillows (by throwing them at each other), laughs, tears, and the stress of sophomore class registration. I don't think my freshman year could of been any better.
Without you physically pushing my finger down on the keypad to accept the registration form for recruitment, I wouldn't have met these beautiful women I call my sisters. Without you physically pulling me out of bed to get dinner, I wouldn't of had a strong connection with people on our floor, the Barn fam. Without you, I probably would have changed my major fifty times before honestly deciding that the first one was the best one (eh, accounting is alright). Without you, I probably would of gained the freshman twenty instead of you dragging me to the gym with you and Hannah. Without you, I wouldn't have met Hannah (whom I love dearly). Without you, I wouldn't have died of laughter over a spider crawling on your bed even though you sprayed every nook and cranny in that dorm room. Without you, I wouldn't have had to calm you down and take you on a drive of uptown to control your nerves before bringing you back to campus.
Even though we don't live together anymore and that's probably a good thing, I'm still glad I have you in my life. I know throughout the years I will be calling on you for advice, during moments of crisis, and basically anything else. You got me through the toughest year of college. Thank you for that. Thanks for the memories, thanks for never giving up on me, and thanks for pushing to become better. Love you, Madeline Elaine Wood. You will always be my person.
