Becoming a part of a sorority is great in a lot of ways. While being able to make new friends, you also have leadership opportunities, you can make a difference in communities by volunteering, but it can all be a little scary at first. I realized I was finding my home as I got to know everyone in the house just a little bit better. On the day of Big/Little Reveal, I knew I was finally in the right place. Without my Big, nothing would be the same, and frankly, Greek life would not be the same for me. Although my Big graduated, I still love her, and I have never been able to thank her for all the big and little things she has done.

Thank you for taking me under your wing, teaching me what it's like to be part of a sisterhood. Thank you for spending a couple minutes out of your day to help me learn the Greek Alphabet, even when I made the stupidest mistakes.

I never knew who you were, well I didn't know anyone at the time. The first time I met you, I was walking back to my dorm from the homecoming game, and you came up and started talking to me.

The night of the first mixer, I did not know what I was doing, but I have never felt so comfortable talking to someone. When I found out you were my Big, I could not contain my excitement; it had to have been more exciting than Bid Day. You've taught me everything I've needed to know from how social events work, what exactly slate was, and why I needed to study.

Thank you for being there for me and listening to me complain about my homework load, and those professors I do not like all that much. Even if you have to listen to me complain about someone that is making me mad, I know you'll give me the best answer. You have been a great role model for me. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be half the sorority women I am today.

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
