Dear, High school best friend,

You have been there for everything, and I thank you for standing by my side though high school. Now a new chapter has began, and even though we are not going to be going to the same universities, doesn't mean we can't still be close. You have been a big part of my life since day one of high school. You hold a deep spot in my heart, and always will. It has not been easy thought the years, but I thank you for still being here in the end. I have lost so many ver friends thought high school but you stayed, and I could never ask for a better friend. When I saw you the first day , I knew you were going to be the one that stayed . From our late night drives, to us sneaking out , to us going to Walmart in the middle of the night, to all the adventures we had, and to all the money we went shopping, to all the drunk nights that we hardly remember, to us having so many sleepovers that it feels like our own house, to our moms gaining another beautiful daughter. I am so lucky to have been able to call you my best friend through out the years, I love you so much both my family and I. Your are not just my best friend you are also my sister. Call me whenever you need to, my phone will always be on. I wish you the best in this new chapter of our lives. I am not saying goodbye, just saying "see you at the next college party" ;)

Love, Your forever best friend.

But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
