Thank you for everything that you do.

To My Awesome Mom

Dear Mom,

For starters, I'd like to thank you for everything that you do. There is an infinite amount of things that you help with and do for me, so I doubt I will be able to say them all, but I will try to get as many as I can. Not only do you do things like my laundry when I come home from college, but more so important things like spending quality time with me or teaching me many life lessons. Luckily, I was blessed with a pretty fun and awesome mom as well because not only are you my mom, but you are also a great friend. I couldn't imagine facing life without you.

Whenever I am feeling down, so are you. If someone hurts me, it's as if they hurt you as well. Whether I have had a bad day or something crazy has happened, you are always going out of your way to fix it. To me, whether you can or can't, you caring that much means the entire world. It shows how much my feelings mean to you, and showing that you care, can make the entire difference in any scenario.

As I have gotten older I do realize that a lot of the times you are right. Whenever something bad or good happens I always find myself calling you about it. I always want your opinion on things or outlook because sometimes you just make it a lot clearer and simpler. I tend to overthink or over complicate basically everything, so this helps more than you will ever realize.

Whenever I am down on myself or feel like I can't do something, you show me that I definitely can. Sometimes I think that you think I can do anything, but this is a huge self confidence boost for myself because you do see so much potential in me.

Our adventures mean the absolute world to me. From going to Warped Tour, driving home from far away football games or driving all over everywhere on the weekends that I'm home from college, our adventures are probably the funniest I will ever experience. Times like these I will cherish for the rest of my life because they are some of my absolute favorites.

You always go out of your way to make me feel special. I think that is one of the biggest things you could ever do for me. This is so important to me because I feel as if the world is constantly trying to make you feel not so special, but you always come into the picture and help me realize that I am pretty unique and special.

I know that me going off to college has been one of the hardest things for you. I do notice this sacrifice for you, but I am so thankful you have given me the room to spread my wings and experience life for my own.

I know I don't show it much, but I do appreciate everything you do. Without you, I really don't think I could function or get through life. There is so much I could thank you for and so much more that I would like to say, but the list would go on for forever. I just hope you do see how much I appreciate the things you do. You are an awesome Mom and I am afraid that I really do not show that as much as I should. I pray to be at least half the person you are someday. I hope you know that I love you to the moon, more than my luggage and more than chocolate.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
