To Millennial Men

Why men my age should stop the games and grow up.

People wonder why sologamy is becoming popular

The act when you marry yourself

Why marriage percentages are tied with divorce

Why being in a relationship seems forced

Why no one is happy anymore

Unhappiness goes both ways

It's time to discuss issues facing millennials these days

What do men in my generation have to offer?

When the majority of them are in prison

Or the rest are being slaughtered

If they are not in these two categories

They are involved in chaos or we are reading terrible stories

Having mothers, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers

Some have no respect for women, let alone one another

You cannot force a female to partake in what she does not want to

Whisper meaningless words into her ears just so she could do what you want her to do

Leading her on because she is insecure

Or taking advantage of her when she said she is unsure

You glorify the women that hurt you and offer you nothing

While the ones that are "wifey" material you keep shunning

I have heard men in college tell women that they are perfect, but they want to "thot" around before they settle down

Then when the fun and games are over whose phone are they contacting, and why are they searching all around?

Putting us women in disgusting situations where our lives and health are in danger

Now she is pregnant and he is the stranger

Or now she has a contracted a disease from him and he is the blamer

Men are so quick to call her a whore

However they were not saying that when they were using her up more and more

Of course these situations go both ways

Again I am telling you how life is nowadays

I attended college where the "men" whispered when I entered the room

Yet no one would dare utter a word to me, like speaking would bring them doom

I spoke to a few, had crushes on some

Nevertheless it is difficult when the athletes and popular girls get attention and you get none

I was comfortable in my skin and knew what I wanted

Yet I guess I appeared mysterious because I was modest and didn't flaunt it

So Millennial men stop lying about your whereabouts

Or being in a relationship

We are getting too old for childish games

To be quite frank I am over the emotional trips

You constantly let us down and think nothing of it

Then when you are hurt they declare all women are the same

Telling a woman that she is just something to do

Would be different if the same words were uttered to you

There has to be some mutual understanding between us young men and women

If we plan on meeting someone and making a commitment

For millennial women what I said is the same

Do not act a certain way and wonder why he calls you out of your name

Please stop telling us what to do with our bodies

Because you will never understand fear the consequences of being intimate

When you want affection, but for some reason you are just not into it

You come off as being asexual because of it

I do not condone such actions, nor do I condone violence

Often times we need to take a step back and analyze the situation in silence

At what point do we grow up and behave like adults?

I guess when we are old and single, living by ourselves

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
