Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live a perfect life? A life that has no turmoil, sadness, pain, or suffering. A life where everyone is happy and positive. A life that only has growth and not decay. A life where there are no murders, robberies, failures, or disappointments. A life where everyone loves and supports one another.
What a life that would be, wouldn’t it? . A perfect life? A perfect life where there is no stress, heartache, or disappointment.
No longer would you have to worry about making next month’s payment or how you are going to get from point A to point B because everything is already handled. You wouldn’t have to assume anything because everyone is honest and true. You wouldn’t have to argue, yell, and scream for a misunderstanding because in this perfect world, everyone is understood.
This is the life that everyone yearns for, right? A life of well-being, meaning, and satisfaction. A life without worry, pain, or suffering. A life where nothing bad can happen.
Would it be worth it though?

If I were to tell you today that all your demons were going to be taken away from you tomorrow, would you be relieved?
I know that I would. I know that I would be ecstatic to have the tormenting thoughts taken away. I know that I would like to breathe for just a moment without thinking about what I need to do next. I think it would be awesome and something worthwhile.
But then I really start to think…
If we lived in a perfect world, when would we grow? When would we learn from our mistakes? When would we discover and take risks? Where would the adventure happen? When would the thrills of life kick in?
These thoughts race through my head and make me appreciate all that this life has to offer, both the good and the bad. Sure, the good is great and leaves us feeling nothing but pure joy and happiness; however, the bad makes us feel, it makes us grow.
The bad makes us think, reflect, and appreciate all that this world has to offer. The bad leads to the many blessings within this life. The bad leads me to reflect on how far I have come and that my story isn’t over yet. The bad makes me look forward to the good that is to come.
No one ever said that life was going to be easy. I feel that we all understand that now. There will be pain, suffering, heartaches, and disappointments. There are going to be times where we question every little thing around us. But it is in those times where we can pause, take a break, and draw back to what makes this life good and worth living.
