To My Knight In Shining Armor

I love you more than I did yesterday but less than I will tomorrow.

To My Knight In Shining Armor
Alayna Wright

I've always dreamed of a knight in shining armor coming to save me at the end of the day. I've always wanted someone to put as much time, emotion, and effort into me as I could give to them. I wanted a man who was hard working, determined, and driven but also someone that cared about me and my feelings. I wanted someone who loved adventure, who genuinely cared for me, and someone that could keep me on my toes. I never thought that kind of love existed before I met you.

When I met you, I wasn't expecting it to turn into anything. I remember when we were talking about things we loved doing in our free time, and everything you said was everything that I was looking for. When it was time to say goodbye, you told me it was impolite not to shake hands when I told you I didn't like germs. I couldn't stop thinking about you. I kept telling myself, 'This will only turn into a friendship,' but it was so much more than that. Everything you said to me about your life, your past, and your future plans. You just kept me hanging on to every word.

You opened my eyes to a whole new world. You showed me the true meaning of love. Love doesn't just mean someone that you can see yourself with forever; it means someone you can rely on when you're upset, someone you can go to when you can't make decisions, someone that's going to push you to be bigger and better, and someone that supports you. It means someone that's going to hold you when you're crying, go on amazing adventures with you, and give you feedback when you need it. Relationships with love aren't all about winning or losing an argument, they're about finding a compromise that you can both agree upon. They're about forgiveness, trust, and respect.

You have helped me. You've helped me discover exactly what I want to do with my life and not what someone else wants me to do. You've helped me when I was so disappointed in myself and didn't think I could go on anymore. You've helped me discover that I can do anything I set my mind to and go beyond my expectations in myself. You've boosted my confidence more than anyone else has.

You make me feel. You make me feel beautiful even when I haven't showered in three days, my hair is a mess, and I'm not wearing makeup -- you always tell me how gorgeous I am. You've made me feel loved. I know that no matter what curve balls life throws at me, you'll be there through every moment to help me get through it. The way you smile at me, the little jokes you make, and how relaxed we can be with each other makes me so happy.

You offer me things that may not be significant to you, but they are to me. When you offer to buy my groceries or gas, it means so much to me. Things like agreeing to dress up in a matching outfit with me for Halloween makes my heart melt, even if I wanted to put you in something absurd. When you write me little notes on my hands, send me messages throughout the day about how much you miss me, or write me letters, those are the sweetest things to me. Little things like taking my dog out when you know I'm fully capable of doing it, washing the dishes after dinner, and taking road trips with me to visit our families makes me feel special.

All the qualities you have are everything that I've ever wanted in a man. You're hardworking. You aren't one to just give up on a task, you'll keep working on it until it's done. You're respectful; you always use your manners and you never get sassy with people no matter who they are. You're loving -- not only to me but to your family. Family means everything to me, and it makes me so happy to see how involved you are with yours. You're responsible; you're always there to take care of me and the people around you. You're understanding; you've never judged me for my past and you don't judge anyone else around you. You're selfless; you will go out of your way for anyone around you and you never think of yourself first in any situation. You're everything I ever wanted.

I want to give you the world. I want to show you how perfect you are to me. I want to make you happy and eager for the future. I want to experience everything with you, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I want to push you to do everything you've ever wanted to do and more. I want to see you reach your full potential in any job or task you taken on. I want to support you through everything and help you through your biggest struggles. I want to make you feel not only wanted but needed. I want to show you how much you mean to me and how much I need you.

You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and will ever happen. Thank you for helping me realize that there truly are knights in shining armor in this world and I was lucky enough to be rescued by one. I love you so much -- yesterday, today, tomorrow, and every day until I die, and even then I won't stop loving you.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
