A Letter To Heaven

A Letter To Heaven
Madison Zammarelli

Although it is hard to find the words to say, I am writing this letter to ask you to please let my loved ones know that I am doing okay. Ever since they traveled up to you, life hasn’t been the same. I have been without that special person in my life who was there to watch me grow. They were there through every milestone, every birthday, and every surprise up until they had to go. They were one of my first loves, my best friends, and my family. Their passing is something I will never get over, instead just something I have learned to get used to. Even though you know how much I miss them, that is not why I am writing you today.

I ask you to thank them for not only their life and everything they did while here, but everything they have done and continue to do while with you, Heaven. Thank them for mending my heart when it is broken. Thank them for keeping me strong when I feel like breaking. Thank them for pushing me to be the best person I can be every day, for leading me down the right path, and for holding my head up high when I need it. Thank them for keeping my soul happy and my heart bright and full of love. Thank them for giving me what I deserve instead of what I thought I wanted. Most importantly thank them for always staying with me, for I feel their presence every day.

Now I ask you, Heaven, to take good care of those I have lost. Their hearts are full of gold and their souls are everlasting. They deserve endless love and happiness. Although I am not able to be with them right now and take care of them, I know you can until we meet again one day. Thank you for the life and all its blessing and challenges you have given me, they have only made me a stronger and better person.

Sincerely,

Someone who misses them
