"LOL! It's in the clouds!" by LivelovelifeEleni

Maybe you’ve always had a deep emotional connection to the things around you. Perhaps even just hearing about the misfortunes of fellow friends can make your heart wrench. Not to mention the heartbreak you feel for natural disasters or tragedies. Your heart just swells when you see sunsets over mountains and caring for someone is almost a spiritual experience for you.

You my friend, have a heart that feels deeply.

This is often a wonderful experience that inspires the greatest and most spontaneous in us! But it can also bring us heavy hearts and overwhelming moments that seem to last an eternity.

When you are someone who feels very deeply there are a few things that walk hand and hand with you through your life. It goes without saying that this can be a very beautiful and exciting thing to experience, but I want to talk about some of the ways this can be really hard on you as well.

You are likely very empathetic.
The well-being of others is something very important to you. The joys and pains of those around you affects you more than it seems others. You essentially put yourself in others shoes and can actually get a sense of how they are really feeling. This can be difficult to handle because you not only have a sense of how others are feeling around you, you also care very much for those people and want to help in whatever ways you can.

Creative expression is your outlet.
I’m an artist and one of the things I both hate and am thankful for is how I’m able to utilize my strong emotional responses for the art that I create. It has become my stress relief and my way to express how I respond to the situations in my life. When I have been at my worst I have made art and written to help myself get by, and when I have had the best time of my life I have made art to record my joy through it. If I didn’t have that outlet I would probably explode. You may not have a passion like painting or writing, but I’m sure you have a deeper understanding of things that are beautiful. Being creative and using your emotions to make something beautiful doesn’t mean you need to be an artist. Though chances are you are one without ever even realizing it. Take something you enjoy and cultivate it.

You easily fall into bad habits.
When you have a spirit that feels very profoundly and have no way to express it properly it can very easily translate into terrible habits. When put into a situation when you feel there is no way around dealing with the ways that you are feeling there are a lot of things that can go poorly when left to your own devices. Alcohol, drug abuse and eating disorders only to state a few can stem from the inability to deal with the intensity of emotions running through you. It becomes a matter of what things are within your grasp to control.

Shut down.
There will be times that things are so intense within you and the inner turmoil you are battling will cause you to shut down. Numbness. Probably, in my opinion, one of the most silently painful experiences to have. You will feel a lot all at once or even just a bunch of things all in a row and it will cause such a shock to your whole being that you go into a transcendent state of being where you are suddenly feeling nothing. Nada. Not even if you wanted to. The kind of feeling where you need to cry but you just can’t.

It’s not all bad.
With all of that being said of the cons of being an emotionally deep person, there are a lot of pros for sure! You will feel over the top elated when you see someone you love, the sun on your shoulders will feel like they’re healing your soul, listening to music will always and immediately make you want to dance your heart out. There are so many ways to feel great and loving emotions and to feel those intensely is such a beautiful and memorable thing. Don't suppress it, be blest by it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
