Halloween Horror Nights Needs To Be On Your To Do List This Fall Even If You Scare Easily

I don't know if you should be scared or in awe. Honestly, everyone should be in both of those emotions when you enter Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort

If you love Horror, then you have to try to come to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. Growing up watching horror movies with my family, makes going to this event so special. It brings to life what I watched on screen as a child and turns it to reality. The scare zones and the houses are beautiful to walk through. Even if you don't get scared easily, you should go through the houses, scare zones and shows just to marvel at the scenery. The Academy of Villians stage show is worth the ticket alone. I know people who easily scare that still enjoy going to this event because there is something for everyone

The Houses are so fun to walk through especially if you know the movie that the house represents. I've gone to Halloween Horror Nights for these past 3 years because it's a very local thing to do if you live in Orlando. There are some people who come down to Orlando, especially for this event. Last year they had an American Horror Story house. I found that I understood some of the references because I'm not an avid watcher of the series. If you love AHS, you would understand everything in that house. Since I watch Stranger Things, I understood everything in that house. There are other houses to consider because the company is pulling out all of the stops. Here are the predictions of the popularity of the houses.

The scare zones are where you are going to get most of your scares. The monsters that lurk around the areas will chase you and will get eerily close to you. This is not your chance to be the hero because you've entered their territory. Don't drink too much alcohol and punch a monster in the face because their guardians will have you thrown out of the park. These parts are meant to be fun. If you read your ticket, you promise Universal to not hurt their monsters to be allowed in. I enjoy the scare zones almost as much as the houses. You see a lot more monsters out on the streets and the interactions are often the greatest. If you get lost, don't forget to have your map with you.

My favorite part of the night is the show put on by the Academy of Villians. They've been with Halloween Horror Nights for 2 years now with this being their 3rd year. They are an amazing group of dancers that create routines that can inspire you to either freak-out or be in awe. With Hurricane Irma last year, they still managed to put on an amazing show regardless of the destruction of their set. They really brought it this year with a new theme. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but you should jump at the chance to go see them.

If you love theme park food and horror, then you can come for the food and you'll be satisfied. Their snacks and food are amazing when you're drinking the alcoholic drinks. I'm not big into hard liquor, but the food is perfect when you are craving junk food. I recommend the pizza fries ( how can you not like pizza and french fries) and Triple Decker Extravaganza ( get this if you love Stranger Things). The food this year is on point!

All in all, I would put Halloween Horror Nights on your to-do this year! With all of the things to do, you get your worth out of the ticket. Don't forget to try the food because you won't regret it especially if you like to drink the spooky drinks that involve alcohol. Stay spooky my friends.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
