You Need To Know Your Worth

You are literally to die for.

You Need To Know Your Worth

We have all had that person, who we would have ran through fire for, that disappointed or hurt us. We have all had someone bring us down and made us feel like less of a person. Worthless. Let me just tell you....they are dead wrong! You are worth more than you could ever imagine.

First of all, you were created in the image of the almighty God and He made you with great intention. God does not make mistakes. You, my friend, are fearfully and wonderfully made, so please do not put yourself in a situation where someone makes you feel any different.

When someone treats you like an option, sometimes, you have to try not to care. No matter how much you do, take yourself out of the situation. Sometimes you mean almost nothing to someone who meant so much to you. That's okay. Some things are not meant to be, but that doesn't mean you do not mean the world to someone else. The second you have to start convincing someone of your worth, it's time to let go.

Don't go back to less just because you are too impatient to wait for more. Don't hold on because you think there won't ever be anybody else. There will be. There will always be someone else. You have to believe that you are worth more than being repeatedly hurt by someone who doesn't really care. Someone will see what you are really worth and treat you the way you deserve to be treated. God's timing, not yours.

Don't expect to see positive changes in your life, if you surround yourself with negative people. I tell myself this time and time again.

Know your value and what you have to offer. Never settle for anything less than you deserve. Always know the difference between what you're getting and what you deserve.

In this generation, girls feel pressured to be sexually active because they think it's the only way to keep their boyfriend.

LADIES, IF HE IS NOT WILLING TO WAIT FOR YOU, HE IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!

YOU ARE WORTH THE WAIT!

YOU ARE WORTH THE WAIT!

YOU ARE WORTH THE WAIT!

You are beautiful in God's eyes and you were created with a purpose. If you ever doubt your worth, step outside and take in the beautiful world the Lord has given you. He thinks you're worth it. He thinks you're worth sending His one and only Son to die for you. (you're literally to die for, people!!!) Your worth is endless. Never forget that. Never let anyone take it away from you.

"The only way you can fully accomplish his purpose for your life is to get to know yourself and the beautiful person you are....Seek the Lord and He will reveal more of who you were created to be....There is a mission for you in life: love and accept yourself for who you are. Be you; nobody can do it better!"

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
