To Choose Or Not To Choose, That Is The Question

Life is an endless process of choices

The choice is a complex process, but we have to do it every day. For some people it is a painful process, but for others it is an inspiration for the feat. Probably it would be important to write more about the choice, which was made in favor of one or another candidate for president, contrary to this expectation, I would like to write about other choices.

The choice is a phenomenon, which compose a major collision for any type of literature, movies and of course a human life. I recently re-read the book "The Thorn Birds" by author Colleen McCullough. This novel made me once again to reflect on the important question. The human needs to have the huge strength of mind at the time of the fateful choice.

The main character of the book is Meghann "Meggie" Cleary had a crush on a handsome man, and at the same time, a Catholic priest Ralph de Bricassart. Though Ralph gave a sacred vow to God, can not stop him from thinking about Maggie. Neither the distances nor the pain of betrayal and many hours of prayers to God can not facilitate the choice of two loving people, as well as can not help them to be together because this choice is tough. The events described in the novel took place a century ago (1915 to 1969). Now things have changed and the Catholic priest can have a family and children. Nevertheless, for loving women still it is a very difficult choice because the fight for the love of a man (or child), is pretty hard if your opponent is God.

The choices which was made by Colleen McCullough's characters rather ambiguous and certainly tragic, but the opposition between love and responsibility to a religion it is a tough choice even in our days.

Another difficult choice for us is a choice between a career or daily job responsibilities and personal relationships. Very often we pretend we're very busy, and do not have time for anything, but work or the performance of our duty. At the same time we ask or demand our lovers of understanding and sympathy in our employment. In fact, we just running away from working on our personal relationships. We run away from the responsibility of the person to whom we once said the words “love you” and promised to care for him or her. Even more we maybe run from ourselves because we don't want to stop and admit that we need to have a loved one. The "Family Man" with Nikolos Cage it is my favorite Christmas movie. Every time when I review it, I think about whether we set our priorities carefully enough not to deceive ourselves? Quite whether we pay attention to those whom we love or maybe if we do not give enough care of our lovers, it means that it is not true love? In this case it is necessary to take a break and think about it. What is valuable and important to you at this time of your life? Even if your choice at this time does not fall in favor of the relationship, it is at least honestly do not continue to give false hope to the other person and let him or her go.

Another case of a complex choice is a moral choice. The human is a specific creature that gets used to the good very quickly, and it becomes not enough. People are starting to make different actions which may later regret. We can talk endlessly about the reasons and circumstances under which people committed immoral acts. People have come up with millions of excuses for their weaknesses. However, a human choice in matters of morality it is, perhaps, the highest of spiritual perfection. Not everyone can resist the temptation and be honest with himself or herself.

Basically, we have no choice to commit or not to make a choice,. This is a pun of adulthood. As we still make choices, we have to be careful not to enter into a deal with your conscience, otherwise this option will not bring you pleasure, and you may lose much more than find.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
