To all of my College Friends

I don't know where I would be without you.

To all of my College Friends

I want to thank you for challenging me and pushing me to be the best version of myself.

When I came to college, I didn't think I would make any friends and I was pretty lonely my Freshman year. I have a best friend who goes to Ohio State and I would spend a lot of time with her and nobody from my own school, but I'm not here to talk about my that. Instead, I want to talk about all of the amazing people I have met since then, and the impact they have had on my life.

As I have mentioned in a previous article, I joined a sorority my sophomore year. I have met so many amazing people, who see much more in me than I see in myself. Just being around them has made me want to become a better person. making friends in my sorority has helped me make friends in classes as well. I don't just sit in the back and keep to myself in all of my classes anymore, now I talk to people and actually have things to say in class. My sorority has definitely helped me find more confidence and work on my leadership skills.

I have had so many great experiences that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I tried things that I thought I would never try before, and I have been able to do things that I couldn't have done before I met these amazing people.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
