I shed a tear every single time a makeup guru on YouTube pulls out 6 mac lipsticks in a makeup haul video. So, since not all of us receive freebies from cosmetic company's because we're internet famous, I've created a guide for the saavy shopping saver.

1. Highlight

One of the top highlights in the market is the Benefit High Beam Highlight. Personally I've tried this product and I have to admit it is pretty amazing, however, I'm not really willing to drop $26 every single time I run out of the bottle. For a cheap switch with similar quality, I've found the NYX Born to Glow Illuminator ($6) holds the same effect as the high end version.

2. Blush

For everyone engulfed in the cosmetic world, we all know that the NARS Orgasm Blush holds to be our saving grace. In all honesty, if I didn't have to spend what seems to be a million dollars on textbooks every semester for school, I wouldn't mind the price. But, guys listen, the Milani Baked Blush is a carbon copy of NARS Orgasm and other NARS blushes. And, they're only $7!!!! Milani however, is a little more pigmented so I'd be careful when applying otherwise you just look like this guy:

3. Lips

No explanation will do this lip product any justice. All you need to know is that I witnessed my friend devour an entire bowl of CAVA whilst wearing this and it was still completely in tact after the fact.

4. Mascara

I've personally never tried fake lashes, but I've never had to because I found that if you just play around with different mascaras you can usually find a fit for you. For me, my personal favorite is The Collosal Volume Express Mascara by Maybelline. I've dabbled in different drug store mascaras but I always find myself coming back to this one.

Now go, my aspiring Michelle Phans, into the world and explore your best match.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
