In our down time, apart from studying and doing homework and balancing our college lifestyles, it's possible that we meander onto clothing websites, just to take a look. I personally am victim to/do it all the time. I choose way too many clothes for way too much money than should be reasonably spent by a student and end up staring at my screen, disappointed, and emptying my shopping cart. It's normal, we all do it at some point, whether out of boredom, to look for the newest styles, or to actually buy a new shirt for that frat party next week.
Marketing strategists are super good at what they do: advertisements are everywhere! When I'm casually scrolling through Facebook, a SheIn ad pops up on "trendy new rompers! 30% off!", or Steve Madden with new colors on their quilted shoes that I already have about 5 pairs of. Seriously, c'mon, I'm just trying to upload my 50 new recent photos to my sophomore year college album so my family can see that I'm enjoying life. I don't have time for this!
Well, luckily for anyone reading this, I have found a way to so-call "cheat" the system and have you getting the most bang for your buck on these online sites...or at least taking away your 5 minutes of sadness when emptying your overpriced cart.
Slight disclaimer: this is how I ponder the online stores. This in no way really ~cheats or hacks~ any shopping websites. It's super tactical and works for me. Okay, moving on...
First of all, you want to sign up for the newsletter/make an account on your favorite websites. I know, junk mail, but you will be FIRST TO KNOW about future sales (!!!!) or discounts (double-!!!!) Trust me, it definitely works.
And then, you want to make a profile and include your birthday because birthday sales and discounts are the best sales and deals.
Finally, you want to sort from lowest to highest, even in the sale section. It'll make browsing more fun, up until you get to the last page and it's so overwhelming that you just collapse.
Happy shopping (or browsing) (or looking just for fun)!!!!
