If you're a night owl like me, your sleep schedule seems to put you in bed around 3 a.m. and wake you up in the early morning of 10 a.m. Some days you wake up ready to take on the world and other days you seem to never want to leave that one spot in your bed giving you warmth.

As I get older it seems that waking up gets harder and harder each time but I have started to change how I wake up so I am willing to get out of bed after the first (or third) alarm. So here are some tips and tricks for waking up with ease:

1. Wake up to a GREAT song

Personally, I enjoy starting my morning hitting my snooze button and playing "Put Your Records On" by Corinne Bailey Rae. But if getting you out of bed means playing a little rap or EDM music go for it!!

2. Make sure one of your windows is not covered by your double sided blackout curtains

I tend to want to sleep more because my room is pitch black but having some sun peek through the window by your face, its a lot easier to open your eyes and wake up.

3. Make a to-do list for that morning

It is better to wake up knowing you are going to make a solid breakfast with a little time to spare for coffee than to wake up and rush to the door.

4. Take a shower

This is probably the easiest way to wake up because once you're in the shower blasting your favorite music, you are ready to rock the day.

5. Wake up to your favorite TV show

Growing up my favorite part of getting up in the early morning is getting to watch that one Nickelodeon show before I start my morning. This is a great way to slowly wake up while catching up on that show you've been binge watching for the past 4 weeks.

6. Lastly, just jump up!

It sounds weird but the best way to get up when you really don't want to is to just get up because once you're out of bed it's time to start the day!

For someone who dislikes getting up in the morning as much as me, try and do one of these the next few days. It seems so small but it does help waking up in the morning! Get ready for a new day because the best things happen when you're ready to tackle the day!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
