Tips To Fix A Bad Day

So if you clicked this article I assume that you are having (or have had) a bad day. But, don't worry! I have a few "tips" to save the day! Little side note before I start. These tips may not help everyone, this depends on the severity of the problems you are facing. So, with that being said if you are suffering with any problems big or small make it a priority to talk to someone you can trust whether its a family member, friend, or even a peer or co-worker. But, if the severity of the problems can't be helped by that please consider talking with a professional. Anyways, on to the tips!

Try and set up a time to spend together, and use this time to have fun. I understand that if you had a bad day, or if you're upset you would usually want to talk about it with people around you. Although I completely suggest venting, the point of this time is to have fun, and to be in a positive atmosphere. So, maybe go to a park, or a local coffee shop and have a great time with someone positive!

This tip is for the people who would rather stay home wearing their lazy day clothes, and eating popcorn! If you're having a bad day a Movie Night (or day) may be just the thing to save your day! This happens to be one of my personal favorites. Try to find a movie that you love to watch whether its light-hearted, or a comedy to raise your spirits. Watching a movie gives you a chance to lose yourself in a story. So, if you need a personal get a way get lost in a story, and relax for a while!

Challenging yourself to do something new, and fun is a great way to fix a bad day. There are plenty of things you can try to learn. For example: Find a new recipe the make; learn a dance craze; try to draw; or even try to write. Try something you think you can't do, because in the end you may surprise yourself! Try to learn something you've always wanted to do, and have fun! The point of this tip is to prove to yourself that you can do anything, as well as its a good use of your time trying to better yourself. So, if you've had a bad day make it better by bettering your skills, and maybe even your mind!

This tip is a little more on the serious side, but writing down your feelings or things you are struggling with can really relieve some stress. Even if you aren't the most skilled at writing keep in mind that this is just for you. You don't have to write an award winning book, you just have to write down the things you feel like you want to vent. Writing down how you feel, or things happening in your life tends to help you put them into perspective. Its sort of like talking to a friend but its more personal, and private. So, get yourself a journal, or even a random piece of paper, and help yourself out of this funk!

Hopefully one of these four tips can help you make a bad day better! Try and stay positive guys! Bad days shouldn't make a bad life! Keep in mind that if you have the ability to steer clear of the things that make your day bad then do it. Although if you cant avoid those obstacles then try to approach them with as much positivity as you can. Have a good day, a good year, and a good life!

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
