Here are just a few things that I wish someone had let me know before I tried snowboarding!
1. You will fall. A lot!

Make sure you are all padded up because getting the hang of how to snowboard can sometimes be challenging. You might fall getting up or trying to stop; realistically you just are going to take a lot of falls.
2. Getting off the chair lift is harder than it seems

Chair lifts might seem simple, but that's not always the case. Getting off the chairlift can be a challenge when you're not yet steady on the board. Knowing where to place your free foot is key, it takes some practice.

Even though you're on a mountain in the snow, snowboarding is a workout. So prepare to be sweat and dress in layers.
