Every girl wants to be "bad and boujee" after Migos dropped their hit single. Can you really afford to be though? We all know that keeping up with latest trends can destroy your bank account. You don't want to go broke trying to keep up with everyone else. So this article is dedicated to all of my broke girls. This is just to let you know you can still be fly, while broke. You just have to do some things first, and that is listed below.

1. Save $

I know once that direct deposit hits your bank account, it gets tempting to spend it on something nice. Trying to be fly shouldn't be your priority if you have no money in your bank account. Save your money. Sometimes you might have to just wait on spending your money on those new shoes. It might seem horrible at the time, but trust me your wallet will love it later.

2. Figure out your problem

Where does your money usually go? Are you a shopaholic or do you spend lots of money on food, like me? Once you figure out your problem, you can figure out how to properly save. For example if your problem is spending money at fast food places, then try eating at home before going out. Try to think of something that will prevent you from participating in your spending habit.

3. Set a budget

This is one of the obvious suggestions. However, it's also very important. Set a realistic budget, something that you know you will truly stick by. Also, set a budget that fits your lifestyle. Add up everything that you literally have to spend money on, and give yourself some extra money to splurge, not too much though. Make sure your budget has a balance of both saving and splurging.

4. Buy necessities

Only spend money on what you need. Do you need another purse or food in your fridge? Once you start thinking about what you actually need, then you'll start to realize if some stuff is worth buying. At the end of day it's about whether your decision to purchase something will destroy your bank account or not.

5. Use Cash $

This is just a little bonus tip. Using cash can be very helpful in saving money. This is because you can physically see how much money you're spending. When you're swiping your debit or credit card, you're not really thinking about how much you're spending. With cash you will see where your money is going. So give yourself a set amount for the week or month, and test yourself to only spend that.

These were just a few tips in saving money for the summer. Hopefully you find this helpful, and you're able to have a lovely bank account.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
