Choosing a college is one of the biggest decisions of your life. It determines your whole future. Although it seems stressful, doing a few things before choosing a college can help ease your nerves about making a final decision.

1. Make a list of pros & cons

This is important! If a school doesn't fit all of your requirements, you may not fully enjoy it. Take into account finances, possible majors, proximity to home, etc. Even if you don't physically write out a list, it's great to have a general idea in mind.

2. Take advantage of all of the college days you're high school offers

Even if you have your heart dead-set on a certain college, look around at others! It'll be super helpful to be able to compare colleges and making sure that you're making the right choice.

3. Meet with the department head of your major

This could give you more information about your potential major. This could also get you to interact with people who you could possibly spend the next 4 years of your life with.

4. Determine the finances

College is super expensive so this is an important part of picking a college. You need to know if you're going to have help paying for college or if you are going to have to pay for it all by yourself.

5. Consider outside sources

For example, if you like sports, do they have sports teams? Do you want to live in a small town or a larger city? Do they have extracurricular clubs for you to join? All of these questions are vital when thinking about where you want to go to college.

In the end, take the time to weigh all of your options and consider all of them thoroughly.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
