If the only worry you have by the end of the semester is not going to a party on a Thursday night or to a dage on Saturday, that should be concerning. In a few weeks, it'll be crunch time!

Start preparing now if you want to do well on all your final tests, essays, and other final examinations. Crunch time is not a time to sit back and wish for the best. You're just being lazy. I know you can achieve whatever you put your mind to if you work for it.

One thing I gained this year was my all or nothing mentality. I put in 100% to whatever is thrown my way. This has helped me succeed this semester thus far because my results come from this mentality of mine. I am now a driven and determined young individual who won't stop until I'm finished with all my responsibilities and tasks.

Here are a few tips to keep a straight head from now until the end of finals week:

1. Eat a healthy breakfast.

The most important meal of the day is breakfast. Without the nutrients we receive from breakfast, the rest of your day will be plummeting downhill. With a cooked egg omelet with veggies for breakfast, there is no doubt that you will feel energized to carry on the rest of the day.

2. Get enough sleep.

In addition to breakfast, getting enough sleep is just as important. I know, there aren't enough hours in the day as most people say. It's very hard to balance a university student's schedule, however, sleep is vital to your success. If you're on a regular sleep pattern, waking up and going to sleep at the same time every day, you'll see a difference in your energy and work ethic.

3. Go and focus on class.

I know a lot of people who don't attend class because of laziness or maybe don't feel that it's important unless the professor takes attendance. On the other hand, if it's not an important class, it might be more beneficial to go to the library or a quiet area and study for exams and finish up class assignments. Your choice!

4. Drink coffee.

Coffee might not be important to some, but others it can be crucial to the hardest part in the morning: getting out of bed. Besides the fact that coffee has caffeine, I feel as if it is also a mental thing- it's all in your head!

5. Lib it up all day, every day!

I spend a majority of my time at the library. I call it my second home, as do a lot of people. The library is the only place where I can actually focus without any distractions. The third floor graduate cubicles is where I live during most of my exams. I also like to book study rooms to talk out loud in order to remember and understand concepts and definitions faster and easier. So live it up in the lib! It'll become your new favorite place/second home!

6. Drink tea.

I love tea, especially chamomile tea with a dot of honey. I try my best to have a cup of it every night before I go to sleep. Chamomile tea is a relaxing, night time tea. A great way to end a day full of classes, examinations, and studying.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
