Waking up in the morning can be a real struggle, especially when you over sleep past your alarm and are going to be late to whatever activity you have to do whether that be school or work or appointments. While rushing through your morning routine there are many things that you could forget to do and forget when you are rushing out of the house. We have all been there some more than others where we have to rush because we sleep through our alarms, but for those morning rushers like myself, here are some tips that could help save time in the morning so that you are not panicking while getting ready.

1.) Set your clothes out the night before

Laying your clothes out the night before can be a huge time saver! because lets face it the majority of the time you take to get ready in the morning is picking out what to wear. When we are in a hurry to get ready we usually pick the first thing we see , without realizing what we are picking up. To prevent this from happening, lay your clothes out the night before! this way you know that what you are putting on in the morning matches.

2.) Pack your things then night before

Packing your things the night before and leaving them in a place that is easy to grab in the morning is also a huge time saver! by packing everything the night before, you are guaranteed not to forget anything on your way out! Whether you are going to school or work, your boss or teacher will not accept the fact that you left it at home as an excuse and that could cause problems. So in order to prevent those problems, pack everything the night before!

3.) Make your lunch then night before

Just like picking your clothes out the night before as well as packing your bag, making your lunch the night before will also help save time in the morning. Packing your lunch the night before allows you to save money. By making your lunch at home you are saving money than going out to eat. As well as saving money, by packing your lunch, you are more likely to eat healthier than you would without making your lunch.

4.) Take your shower the night before

I normally take showers at night, which i find a huge time saver in the morning. By taking your shower at night, you don't have to worry about rushing through your shower so you wont be late. Taking your shower the night before allows you to style your hair in the morning faster, you will be able to do something with your hair because you can skip drying your hair. Or you could be like me and sleep in longer, because lets face it we all love to sleep!

While there are many more tips to making your morning routine faster, these are just some that i found to help me in the morning. I am one that likes to sleep and usually wakes up 15 minutes before i have to leave for class. So by having everything ready the night before, i don't have to panic while getting ready for my day.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
