Tips for dating when you are overweight

Finding someone that will love and understand you is by no means a walk in the park, it is difficult. If you are overweight or obese it is likely going be even more difficult for you to find someone that will sincerely love and care for you. See, you don't have to feel sad because of this. Your other half is out there searching for you. If you are persistent and you don't let the way you look prevent you from having fun and trying out new things you might meet him.

That said, before you openly start dating online or have a date with someone you like the old fashion way, there are a few things you first need to know. These tips will improve your mood, make you feel good and enjoy the thrills and fun associated with dating.

Does weight really matter in dating?

There is absolutely no need for you to worry about your weight or size when dating. Believe it or not, your date may not give a hoot about how chubby you are. Even if he notices that you are slightly obese, he isn't going to run away. If he really likes you or finds you attractive, he is going to stick with you, irrespective of your size.

Of course, you want to make a good impression on your first date. This may make you become worried about your looks and size especially if you are obese. Well, if that is the case, you need to keep it in mind that your man care more about who you are as a person than the extra fat on your hips and stomach.

3 things you must avoid if you are overweight.

As you guessed, dating rules for the slim and skinny are different from the rules dating for the chubby and obese. To ensure that your date goes smoothly, there are some things you must never do if you are overweight.

Don't overindulge

Don't give up on your weight loss goal because of your date or someone you like. Don't feel pressured to eat things that will be bad for your health just because your date is eating it. Visit the restaurant where you are going to having your date way in advance to check out their menu.

Try to eat less on the day of your date even if you are hungry. Additionally, be mindful as to amount of alcohol you consume. You date might not care about you being obese, but he is likely going to care if start you making a fool of yourself or pick you off the floor at the end of the day. Remember that alcohol can ruin your diet and weight loss plan. So, drink moderately and make better booze choices so that you can keep your date and your diet on track.

Don't look down on yourself

The fact that you are obese or not at your perfect weight doesn't mean you should look down on yourself. The truth is that no one is 100% perfect. And if someone was actually perfect, it will be difficult to date that person. So don't beat yourself up.

Don't talk about your size and weight

If your date doesn't care about you being obese, he is likely not going to care about your diet or what you eat. So, you don't need to bore him with the intricate details of your diet unless it naturally comes up in a normal conversation. Preaching about your clean and healthy diet may make your date feel bad about his food choice.

Try to avoid discussing your size and weight. In fact, words like "fat" should never come up during your date.

To conclude, if your date is making you feel comfortable or is concerned about your size, let him go and find a better partner on the many dating sites exclusive to plus size women.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
