Tips For College Students When Going Out This Halloween

Many people may ask why celebrate Halloween? Halloween is a time to celebrate wearing costumes that go with your favor and eat candy that will give you cavities 90% of the time. This would not be an article to explain what Halloween really is, but more of a safety heads up of going out on Halloween night. Some may say Halloween is safe, but no one never knows what a guy in a clown mask or grim reaper costume is ever capable of until that act is committed. I am here to provide you guys with some tips that will help you have a safe, fun, and scary Halloween you all wanted.

The first tip for going out this Halloween is to stay safe and drink responsibly. Many people around campus go out to get "blacked out," a term for way past drunk or passed out drunk and do not realize the situation they are putting themselves into. That person will be vulnerable under any circumstance, whether it is sexual assault, robbery, or any other act that will harm that person in any way. Some people have friends to take care of them, but regardless drink responsibly and look inside the cups you pick up; Because you never know what could have been dropped into that cup, while not paying attention.

The second tip for college students going out this Halloween is not going home alone, whether you are drunk or sober and let me tell you why. One you never know what you can encounter at 1:00 a.m. in the morning walking back from a bar or house party and worse things come to worse anything can happen to you in a blink of an eye. Halloween is a crazy night where people scare others for the fun of it, but it can turn into a real situation in an instant. I strongly advise everyone to walk home with a friend at that time of the night because as I said before "Never know what anyone is capable of on a night of Halloween. For girls and guys, if any random man or woman approach you in a hostile way or weird way, continue walking and pay no attention towards them. College is a time to have fun, but be responsible about it so not too many consequences are around you.

The last and final tip for going out this Halloween is dressing up to impress others unless you have a soulmate. You want to have your best costume and make sure you make friends or bring friends to have a great time. Halloween is about having fun and getting that small scare to get your adrenaline pumping. Most costumes I've seen so far for guys are policemen, power rangers, or SWAT and for women are doctors, nurses, kittens, and vampires. Be unique for this Halloween and do not follow everyone. Just be responsible about your actions and have fun.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
