As the school year approaches once again, there are many new incoming college freshman that will be starting a new life this fall. As some of you continue on with the regular life of high school or college, don't forget to keep this year's incoming college freshmen in your thoughts.

Being a college freshman is such an exciting time! But it can also be stressful. Thinking of how you're going to manage money, get everything you need to take care of yourself, and experiencing college homework for the first time can all give you anxiety.

The best way to get rid of all that anxiety, or at least help with the nerves, is to be prepared! Before you head off to college, write down, pack, and buy anything you can possibly think of before you leave. That way, it will give you time to settle in and get used to everything before you worry about going shopping for all these things that you need. Another thing is to make a budget. Whether you'll have a job in college or not, you'll need to manage your money. Commit to a weekly and monthly budget. For example, how much you'll spend on gas, how much you'll spend on groceries, and how much you'll spend on fun thing for yourself like concerts or retail therapy. Lastly, talk to someone who is in college or has been in college recently about the workload. Ask them some strategies about how to manage studies, clubs, possibly work, and social life without being stressed while also living a happy life.

Being prepared is what it takes to be successful!

Thank You on wooden blocks

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
