Last week I had listened in on a podcast that my friend is in charge of. It is a small podcast and he is trying to gain a lot of recognition for. The talk of the show you may ask?The Conjuring Franchise.
Horror movies are something I love, so obviously this was something I had to listen to, he is also a very close friend so I felt it was right to show support.
Two hours later, I began to realize something I have overlooked for quite some time.
The smallest of things will grow
My thought on the podcast? It was actually funny and it was really awesome to listen to. Now I'm not just sitting here promoting my friends podcast, There is a huge point to all of this trust me.
Everyday following that day, I have been listening to podcasts by the smallest of groups of people. Aside from those I started watching small time YouTuber's and video game streamers. That's when it really hit me.
We are all at the point in our lives where we are being told that if we don't accomplish one thing we will never make it. We are forced to do things we don't like just so we don't succumb to being a failure.
So what if all you want to do is run a podcast show? So what if all you want to do everyday of your life is play games and try to make money off of it? So what if you just want to make pranks on YouTube and it makes you successful?
Of course you can't just abandon all your responsibilities, but that doesn't mean you can't do what you love. Sometimes you may start off small, but like anything else on this earth if you work at it and dedicate time to something, you will make it grow.
I can't even explain how many times I have seen small side things that all that stuff turn into major careers for people.
You need to work. Hard work is required for everything, but don't be discouraged and just quit on yourself or on the stuff you love to do.
