Your gift is to be used
Like the lights at night
Your gift is to shine
So beautiful and bright
Like the stars in the sky

I love the saying “created to create” because at the very core of my being that is who I am, a creator. That is who you are. That is who our Father is. He is the CREATOR, and if He’s my Father than so am I. It is already imbedded in you and I. Create a prayerful life with your humble heart, create a joyful life with your infectious smile, create a peaceful life with your kind soul, create a love filled life with words of love because creating is more than drawing lines, painting strokes, camera clicks, or hands gliding down the keys of a piano. The gift of creating descends from the heavens and transcends the physical world. Creating is sharing a piece of our passion, of what moves us, of who we are and connecting with the world.

We are all gifted. Some more than others, but that’s because we are each individually known and God knows how much we can each handle. Once there were three servants. The Master gave one of the servants five talents, to the other two talents, and to the last one only one talent. Soon after, the Master went on a little journey. During that time, the servant with five talents put his talents to use and doubled the amount of talents he had. The servant with two talents did the same and doubled his talents, but the servant with the one talent buried the only talent that the Master gave Him.

Why would he bury the only talent he had? Because he was afraid. Maybe afraid of failure, because we will fail but we forget that success comes after failure. Maybe afraid of what others would think and say, because for some reason that really matters to us. Maybe afraid of not being good enough, because we so easily forget that in Him we are more than enough. Maybe he was afraid of himself, because the biggest obstacle standing in the way of our happiness is our own self. See, fear will paralyze you. It will keep you stuck in the land of the unknown and unseen. Fear will keep you from being who you are. It will make you just like everyone else. Fear will keep you from tinkering and twinkling. It will make you useless.

Fast forward to the end of the story, the only talent of the one servant was given to the one who doubled his five talents. God will take away our talents if we are not being fruitful with them and give them to someone who will multiply them. Don’t be like the last servant and bury your gift because you are afraid. Be brave, and give out your gifts (put them to use) so that they can be multiplied. Because when you give you receive, and I don’t know about you but when my Master comes back I want to hear Him say to me “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master’s happiness” (Matthew 25:2). Creators, it's time to embrace who we are and create. Whether your gift is your voice, your hands, your words, or your heart, whatever your gift is just put it to use and create.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
