It's week two of college and whether I like it or not, stress is creeping in. I think it's just me over-planning for the future, because there certainly isn't that much homework compared to senior year of high school. For those stressful days and tough times, here is a poem I wrote to encourage you to look on the bright side.
For when times get tough, look at the bright side.
There are always worse situations that you could have been in.
And, if you think you are at the worst,
Even just for a little while. There are times when it will get tough, no matter what circumstance you are in.
Yes, there are people out there living to the fullest.
Yes, you could be in a better place right now.
Yes, yes, and yes!
For all the what if’s you create, there are always the should haves and shouldn’t haves.
You can’t always regret EVERY single decision you make.
You just accept it and move on.
For all the loved ones you’ve lost, and for all the people that walked out in your life.
Let it be.
We always say there is a reason for everything, even if we don’t know the reason.
There will come a time where you will realize that some things are worth it.
And… some are not.
Again, SMILE.
For what it’s worth. Someone might be in need of a smile.
And your smile is what brightens their day.
For when times get tough, look at the bright side.
