If you're anything like me, you probably just got out one of the worst binge holes this century has ever experienced. That's right my friends; I'm talking about, "Stranger Things." There are so many reasons as to why the show is so successful. For one, the acting is kind of fantastic, and I almost cried 31.452 times while watching season two. I mean, what is it about the cast that actually makes me want to adopt all of them? Like I want to be apart of Mike, Justin, Lucas, Eleven, and Max's party so bad, but that's another story. And the sci-fi feel is so captivating and always keeps me pressing the, "Are you still watching," button on Netflix. When I watched the show, there were ten times the electric 80s vibes made me wish I lived in the 80s.
1. The music
I can't tell you how many times I've listened to, "Take On Me," by A-ha, "Blue Monday," by New Order, and "Love Will Tear Us Apart Again," by Joy Divison after watching seasons one and two. Like, it's a problem.
2. The boys
Okay. I understand that Billy is actually the worst thing to walk the planet, but his face is great. Like, honestly. He has a quality face.
3. The sayings
I wish that I could say, "Dope," "Totally Tubular," and, "Bitchin'," without being looked at like I'm a serial killer.
4. The parties
I could only imagine how incredible 80s parties are. Between the PURE FUEL and awesome music, 80s parties are the way to have a good time.
5. The video games
I get genuinely sad at the fact that there aren't decades around. I would kill to play Pacman for hours on end and drinking cherry slushies. One can dream.
6. The relationships
May it be Nancy and Steve, or Nancy and Johnathan, I want a real 80s relationship. And my boyfriend has to drive a red Nissan Maxima. Like, duh.
7. The hair
80s hair is what dreams are made of. It's all big and full of volume. And the little piece of hair falling in people's faces is one of the best hair moves of all time.
8. The style
The 80s were all about funky sweaters and jackets, layers, and wearing sunglasses indoors. What. A. Life.
9. The friendships
The way Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven love each other actually makes me so emotional. They would do ANYTHING for each other, even their friend who has weird powers. The ride or die 80s friendships are truly iconic.
Now that season two is over, I don't know what to do. I can't wait a whole year for more "Stranger Things", so in the meantime I'll keep watching season one and two until my family and friends start to become concerned. It's gonna be, like, totally tubular.
