So if you haven't seen the latest cover photo of TIME Magazine, you need to.
And here it is:
Go ahead. Take a moment. Take it all in.
And yes, this is seriously the TIME cover for the week of November 14th.
I have so many questions about this cover. Which end is near?
Here are the options:
1. The Election
Let's be real. The 2016 Election has been something like never before. Full of controversy, arguments, Twitter beefs, and memes. All the memes.
But honestly, this drama doesn't end with the results on election night. They will continue until whoever is elected passes the baton to the next President. So with that logic, we have until January 20th, 2021 until all of this is officially over. I am just as upset about it as you are, but go ahead and brace yourself. In that case, I'm going to need the lies to stop, because the end is NOT near.
2. The World
Clearly, America is the laughing stock of the world right now. We have an election that has produced more comedic gold than actual policy discussion. Not to mention I am not sure I really want any future leaders to have access to the nuclear codes. So it is quite possible the end of the world will not end with a bang, but with all out nuclear meltdown. And I'm not sure I want that end to be near. But maybe that is just me.
3. 2016
I think at this point we can all agree 2016 has been just a terrible year. At the beginning of the year I thought I was just on the Struggle Bus alone. As we are approaching the end of the year, I realize that, nope, we are all on the bus and it's going downhill. FAST. So is that is what is coming to an end? The crazy as hell bus ride we've all been on for the past year? Because part of me is so okay with that, but also a little concerned with how we are gonna get to that point.
4. America's Sanity
Can we all agree we are just done with this election? Regardless of which side you stand on, whether you are voting or not, can we all just agree on that much? This election has just taken so much out of the American public. The constant name calling, drama, and just the overall annoyance of election season.
Regardless of what the ACTUAL message was for TIME's cover, I'm not liking any of the options.
