If you're an avid watcher of "The Office", or even just a casual observer when it's on in the background at your friend's house, you know of the one and only Dwight Schrute. Dwight is a fascinating character because he manages to be the most diabolical yet at the same time the most innocent person in the office. Recently, in binge-watching many shows over the holidays, I've found certain aspects of Dwight's personality that have brought me to a startling realization... Dwight is me. And also maybe every other college student I know.

1. The inexplicable need to do stupid things.

It's just ingrained in the college mindset, guys. We can't help it.

2. Somehow thinking we're invincible.

I cannot tell you the number of times my friends and I have hopped rails, cones, and fences screaming, "Parkour!"... It's a problem.

3. Our social awkwardness when we, if ever, emerge from our dorms.

But how does one "communicate"? I don't understand this concept.

4. The dislike of crowds.

Seriously, there's a mob every time we walk outside to go to class or get food... send help.

5. Missing our parents and therefore, looking for parental figures...in everyone.

The guy who fixes the air vents looks just like my Dad, okay?!

6. Just feeling the need every once in awhile to scream.

Hey, it's good to relieve stress. This is an acceptable form... right?

7. Getting overly emotional when people say they're proud of us.

All our hard work doesn't get recognized enough... actually maybe it does, but tell us again anyway.

8. Just having way too many emotions all the time.

LIFE IS DIFFICULT RIGHT NOW, OKAY?!

9. Getting ridiculously excited whenever our friends actually follow through with weekend plans.

We low key haven't seen the outside world in months.

10. And making sure everyone actually gets out the door on time.

Nobody has time for your 5 outfit changes, Karen.

11. Trying to see the bright side amidst tests, papers, and studying.

... and kind of failing.

12. Taking every hard assignment as a personal attack.

Why would my professor give us a 10-page benchmark the week before Christmas if it's not because he hates me?

13. Always being there for our friends when they have meltdowns because we understand.

Usually, this involves multitudes of hugs and ice cream.

14. Getting way too excited about breaks.

Because these term papers have been driving us INSANE.

15. Then wanting to come back because we miss our friends too much.

Why did we ever think we could survive a month without them?!

16. Getting hyped for college games even if we don't usually like sports.

Shout out to my Havocs section at GCU! Lopes up!

17. The annoyance when people in our classes don't follow simple instructions.

Like, come on, you had one job...

18. And, of course, being logical about every decision.

Because this is college, after all.

19. Well... maybe not EVERY decision.

I mean, what fun would that be?

20. We can be ridiculously gullible.

Like to the point of believing our future self sent us a fax warning us that the coffee is poisoned... yeah.

21. But as dumb as we can be sometimes...

Hey, there's too many Justin's to keep track of these days.

22. We've still got a lot of love to give.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
