Well, it's that time of the year again — finals season! It's the home stretch for college students with summer not far out of reach.

Here's how studying for finals usually goes, as told by the cast of "How I Met Your Mother."

1. The first time your professor mentions finals, you know they aren't far away.

2. You decide that you are going to start studying two weeks in advance.

3. You start planning out your life to the minute about what to study when and for how long.

4. You don't stick to your original plan at all.

5. Then that moment hits when you start to realize you haven't started studying and you really need to.

6. You start to panic.

7. Probably get emotional.

8. But then you come to the realization that finals are coming.

10. You study your butt off and make it through finals week... YOU DID IT!!!
