How I Made Time To Tweet About How Busy I Am

How will people know how successful you are if you're not constantly reminding them via Twitter?

Listen, I know exactly what you're going through.

You're busy.

Like so busy.

Slammed. Overwhelmed. Booked.

When you hear someone say, "Okay, I'll try to pencil you in... I'm so slammed!" you think to yourself,

"Wow. They're so successful. They don't have time for anyone!" Am I right? Well, I'm not wrong. So how do you get to this point? You're not a businessman, and you don't have a secretary to tell everyone that you simply don't have any openings coming up. So how will people be impressed by how busy you are? I mean, you're so busy that you obviously don't have time to tell everybody...

I was like you, once. Then I realized that there is a way that I can be super busy and impressive, and still have time to let people know. You must make time.

I started by looking at my planner each day. Usually, I would realize that there just wasn't even a single minute to spare. Did I give up?

No.

Carve out an hour

I started carving an hour out each evening by any means necessary. Leave work early? Check. Ditch plans with friends and family? Double check.

Invest in apps

After I made the time, I remembered that I needed to tweet about how busy I am at convenient times so my posts get as much traffic as possible. I paid $30 for a post scheduling app to make sure that I never missed an opportunity to inform the public of my busy, busy life.

Plan

Okay, so now you have the time to tweet, and the means to ensure you're tweeting at the right times. Now you must plan out your tweets... I mean day. Let's see. The best times to tweet about how busy you are, are at 7 am (when people wake up and first check their phone), 12 pm (lunch break), 3 pm (coffee break), 5:30 pm (people are home for the night). Seems pretty difficult, but when you're a genius like me, you can figure it out.

Watch the responses roll in

Now that you're widely known in your area as a very successful busy person, what's left to do? Just sit back and watch how many people are impressed by you. They're probably thinking to themselves, "Wow, how did she even find the time to tweet all of this?". You're now an anomaly to them. They just don't understand, because they're not as successful as you.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
