Why We Need To Stop Feeding Our Fears
Life Rewritten

Worrying is natural and it's a part of life. It's something we all do, and that's never going to change. However, there are some people who can't live life without worrying about ever little thing. I can most definitely be like that, but it's miserable to worry constantly. It doesn't change anything, and it makes it hard to enjoy anything you're doing. We live in a world that is a hard place to live, but by sitting around and worrying about it, what are we doing to change it? Instead, maybe we should turn our fears into actions and start trying to overcome the things that scare us the most. I really think it'll be beneficial not only on a personal level but on a global scale, too.

Every one has different fears. Some fear that they aren't good enough, some fear they don't have what they should, and some fear for things that are beyond their control. It's really a hard place to be in, and I totally get it. It's easy to just sit around and worry instead of trying to get to the root of the problem and fix what you're afraid of. Some fears can't be cured in the snap of a finger, and some fears may never be conquered, but there are some that can be.

I have an irrational fear of spiders and clowns. I hate them both. I don't understand why we need spiders (okay, maybe I do but I still hate them) and I absolutely don't understand what is funny about a clown. Is that a fear I'll ever get over? Probably not. However, I can combat my fears by staying away from the things that make me afraid. I don't go to any movies involving clowns, and if I see a picture of one on social media, I just keep on scrolling. You can imagine how anxiety ridden I was when people started to dress as creepy clowns and stand in the woods, but I just kept telling myself they weren't near me and I was safe. I can't really get rid of all of the spiders in the world, but that's why my boyfriend is always on spider duty if one decides to come into the house.

Having fear is something I know that can't be totally controlled, but you could come up with things that can help you get you through when you get fearful. For example, if you are fearful of who will win the election in November, then make sure you vote and your voice is heard. If you are afraid of the world your child is growing up in, start by trying to make it a better place for them. Good actions can create a ripple effect. Can you alone change the way of the world? Maybe not, but you can change your house, community, and then maybe step up to a bigger scale.

Worrying about things that we can't control, or constantly worrying about the small things in life is making you miserable for no good reason. Make choices and be proud of the person you are. There is such beauty in appreciating the small stuff and you are robbing yourself of that. I can understand being an overly cautious person, but don't be so cautious that you aren't taking full advantage of the one life we have to live.

God tells us he has our back, and to give him our problems and our fears. Sure, that is easy to do but whats hard is not picking those problems and fears back up. God wants us to prosper and be happy. He is such a loving God, and he know's whats best for us. So, if you can't find any way to combat your fears, just know that God will always take care of you and provide for you.

The Lord will fight for you, you need only be still. Exodus 14:14

Live your life and have a blast while doing it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
