There will come a time when someone hurts you and makes you feel so useless you question your self-worth. There will come a time when someone breaks you so badly that you never want to fall in love again. There will come a time where that same person will be the one you think about every single day from the moment you said goodbye, and for things to return to the way they were. There will come a time when thinking about them makes your chest hurt so badly you can't breathe, like the whole world is crushing you, and you are barely hanging on. There will come a time where you can't feel your heart or question if you even have one anymore. There will come a time when you think all of the feelings you once had for them are gone, but you will stumble across an old picture, or see them with someone new, or pass by that park bench you two would sit at, talking about life, and you feel the whole world crashing down beneath you all over again.
There will come a time when someone else walks into your life and promises to treat you better, to be there for you, and care for you, and wipe all your tears away with the sleeves of their sweater. But you won't want them because you are too cautious and too scared of getting your heart broken again, and losing all of that progress you have made with the last one. There will come a time when this new person will ask you to choose. But you are too scared because if you tell them you can't, they will walk away from you, and saying yes could potentially lead to another heartbreak, and more nights spent on the floor crying your eyes out, screaming to the world. But I promise that when this person comes into your life that if you do not take that leap and take that chance of love again that you will regret it for the rest of your life. Because... there will come a time when this person tries to fix you and repair your broken heart with everything they have, but you won't see how much they are trying and how much they love you until lodge into your thick, hard-headed, mind that you are killing them just as much as the first one killed you.
