This past Thursday, the Chicago Bears released Jay Cutler, our quarterback for the past eight years. Now, our presumed signal caller is Mike Glennon, who even has his own subreddit.
Cutler had his issues, such as many questioning his toughness when he went down against Green Bay in the 2011 NFC championship. It was a doctor’s decision, and it was not his fault that Todd Collins and Caleb Hanie ruined us.
While in Chicago, Cutler went through multiple coaches and managers, and a litany of receivers, some of which turned out to be either divas or selfish. The team had multiple issues, and when number 6 was not in the game, the team fell apart. He holds almost every major Bears passing record, but is still hated.
Yes, I will be the first to admit my harsh criticisms of him, Cutler played his button behind an offensive line that let him get sacked over 50 times in one season. Sadly, the cheapskates in the front office made no attempt to help him, and let his career go to waste.
Jay Cutler, thank you for everything and I wish the best for you in the future !
He made me thankful for some stability at the QB position, and I hope Glennon leads us to the Promised Land.
