What are you waiting for? The Time is NOW! School is out and summer is here! What better way to spend your summer than exploring the country with your friends?! Here are five places that you need to visit this summer.
1. New York City, New York.
This city is ultimately one of the best places to visit over the summer. New York City drew about 50 million tourists last year, with attractions such as Madison Square Garden, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and Central Park. Even though I've been there twice in the past few months, I still haven't been able to see everything there is in New York. You will never have nothing to do there. Something will always keep you moving.
2. Venice Beach, CA.
My home, where I was bred. Venice Beach never disappoints. From the massive amount of street entertainment to the local shops on the boardwalk, you're bound to have the time of your life down in Venice. It is inextricably one of the best places to see, and the boardwalk has more diversity in demographics and retail than probably anywhere else in the world.
3. Steamboat Springs, CO.
This place attracts mountains of people in the winter for skiing and snowboarding, but did you know that this is one of the best places to visit in Colorado during the summer? With whitewater rafting on Elk River, or visiting the natural hot springs that the Ute Indians believed possessed medicinal effects, it is bound to be one relaxing vacation. Not to mention that view up high in those mountains.
4. Washington, D.C.
The capital of the United States is definitely one of cities to visit this summer. There are so many historical sites and landmarks to see. For those who want to check out fine dining restaurants, and visit museums, check out DuPont Circle! It will be a riveting experience.
5. Panama City, Fl.
We all know that this is a spring break hot spot, but during the summer you can expect just as much heat, if not more. From walking through St. Andrews State Park to dolphin and whale watching! It is a place to be.
