Time Management. A truly terrifying word to someone who procrastinates every single thing in life, but still stalks up on day planners like it is nobody's business. I had a good amount of free time on top of my business in college, but now that I am traveling to 11 countries in 11 months, everyday looks crazy different. How do I handle everything, you may ask? Tears, dark chocolate, and different apps that I truly cannot live without. Here you go and you're welcome…
1. Asana
A website and phone app that deserves its own crown. Seriously. Asana knows me better than I know myself. I have worked with many businesses who use this for big projects because you can communicate with other "team members," assign tasks with due dates, have multiple projects open that are neatly organized, and they have a FREE VERSION. I put all my tasks in here depending on the company or project it is for.
2. Planoly
Planoly is my social media lifesaver. I can put content in there and see how my feed would look, I can try out Instagram stories, I can connect a shop to it so people can purchase through Instagram, I can create and save hashtag bundles, so I do not have to retype everything per each new caption, and my favorite part is that it automatically posts and schedules on your behalf on Instagram and Facebook. If you do not feel comfortable with that last part, it can also send you a notification letting you know it's time. It also tracks analytics when you don't have the time to do actual research.
3. Google Calendar
I am for sure a "written" planner kind of chick, but I am OBSESSING over Google Calendar. I know I am probably late to the game but it's been so nice having all my electronics on the same page. It connects and shares information on each device so you'll always know what is going on. I also have mine connected to my calendar on my Mac-book along with my deadlines. I have many calendars for many different things even though I am unemployed and not in school. What am I even doing actually?
4. Screen Time
This has been my favorite thing to use as a missionary on the field who is lucky enough to have cheap data in each country she is in. I put a daily limit on my applications each day. An hour and thirty minutes for all social media apps together a day to limit my scrolling and increase my presence. Sometimes I go over if I am working on social media that day for blogging or for my separate company but for the most part, I am learning how to live without constant connection to the internet.
I hope these apps bring you some stress-free, joyful, "you" time. Sometimes, I even have fun just assigning myself tasks because NOTHING feels as good as an organization, am I, right ladies?
